The news of his arrest created widespread unrest among the general public in the district, leading Rakibur Ali to launch a campaign with the support of his followers. However, the campaign failed to gain significant support from the public. After spending ten days in custody, Rakibur Ali made the decision to surrender himself in the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, according to his defense lawyer Nandita Basumatary. <\/span><\/p>\n
