\nAt a launch programme of the ‘Year of Positive Change’ at the Prajapita Brahmakumari Ishwariya Trust in Chhattisgarh’s capital on Thursday, President Droupadi Murmu expressed her concern over the increasing cases of student suicides. She urged all stakeholders and concerned people to help students develop a positive mindset and beat the negativity within them. <\/span><\/h3>\n

President Murmu has urged educational establishments to support and foster research and innovation:<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Citing the suicide of two NEET aspirants in Rajasthan, she said, \u201cIt pains me to see students diving into negative thinking and taking extreme steps.\u201d She further said that even though failure is a part of life, it should not be a reason to end one\u2019s life. Instead, one should use it as a stepping stone to success. <\/span><\/p>\n

The President also expressed her admiration for the Brahma Kumaris organization and the contribution it has made to society. She said, \u201cThroughout my spiritual journey, the Brahma Kumaris organization has offered me unwavering support. During challenging times in my life, I sought their guidance.\u201d She further stressed the importance of spirituality and urged people to take a break from technology and develop their inner strength to stay positive.<\/span><\/p>\n

Chhattisgarh Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan and Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, who were sharing the dais with the President, said that when a society embraces positive change, it becomes stronger. The Governor added that conservative and traditionalist societies that oppose necessary change will be cut off from the mainstream. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Chief Minister expressed his pride over the President\u2019s presence and said, \u201cIt is a moment of great pride for the people of Chhattisgarh to have the President of India among us. The arrival of the President of India today makes us feel as if one of our own has returned home.\u201d The President concluded her address by saying, \u201cIf you are dreaming of Ram Rajya, then you will have to become Ram and Sita and head in the same direction to make the country a Vishwa Guru.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
