In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, the Assam Police recovered 1,420 kg of cannabis from a truck in Karimganj district on Saturday. The truck was intercepted by the police near the Assam-Tripura border and the driver was arrested. The cannabis, also known as ganja, was concealed in 71 packets inside the truck. <\/span><\/h3>\n

\"Assam<\/a>The police said that the cannabis was sourced from Tripura and was being transported to Bihar. The police have registered a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and are investigating the involvement of any other persons or groups in the drug racket:<\/span><\/p>\n
