Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma<\/strong><\/span><\/a> announced today that the state government will be giving a big Diwali gift to the lakhs of state government employees – a 4 per cent hike in the Dearness Allowance. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Sarma said that this brings the total DA for state government employees in Assam to 46 per cent.<\/span><\/p>\n “As a Deepawali gift, the state cabinet has approved a 4% Dearness Allowance (DA) for our state government employees.
