{"id":12318,"date":"2020-01-09T20:40:32","date_gmt":"2020-01-09T15:10:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress-440531-1379741.cloudwaysapps.com\/?p=12318"},"modified":"2020-01-09T20:40:32","modified_gmt":"2020-01-09T15:10:32","slug":"assam-govt-announces-special-grants-for-children-of-employees-of-hindustan-paper-corporation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/assamtimespost.com\/?p=12318","title":{"rendered":"Assam Govt announces special grants for children of Employees of Hindustan Paper Corporation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-4428\" src=\"https:\/\/wordpress-440531-1379741.cloudwaysapps.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/0-1-e1574345654996.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"23\" height=\"33\" title=\"\"> <span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #ff0000;\"><strong>ASSAM TIMES POST<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Guwahati :<\/strong> The Assam Government will provide one-time Special Grants ranging from Rs 10000 to Rs one lakh as educational support of school and college going children of the employees of the non-operational Hindustan Paper Corporation mills at Jagiroad and Panchgram in the state, said Finance, Health, etc., Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The Special Grants was applicable to the children of regular, serving employees of Hindustan Paper Corporation as a support to enable them pursue their studies, said Sarma addressing a press conference here on Thursday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Giving details of the entitlements for students pursuing various courses within Assam or outside the state, Sarma said those pursuing Ph.D\/Medical\/Engineering and other similar professional courses were eligible for the grant under the scheme was Rs one lakh, post-graduation students in universities and other similarly placed institutions was Rs 75000, graduation, polytechnic and similar courses in other similarly placed institutions was Rs 50000, Higher Secondary and Equivalent courses Rs 25000 and upto Class ten Rs 10000. To a question if the children of those employees who committed suicide due to alleged financial problem, the Minister said those children could also apply for the Special Grant. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">He said the students have to apply in an Online Portal, created exclusively for this purpose, on the lines of the Abhinandan Scheme (Education Loan Subsidy scheme) with link to the portal made available on January 14 in Finance Department website. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The district Deputy Commissioners will verify the eligibility of the applications and approve them for the funds to be transferred to the beneficiaries&#8217; bank account.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The Minister also said that for Divyang employees of the State Government, an interest Subsidy Scheme has been introduced for purchasing two-wheeler\/cars\/Multi-utility with bank loans as costs of Divyang friendly conveyance is higher due to modifications necessary to make the vehicles user friendly for them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Government will provide interest subsidy of 4 per cent to the Differently Abled State Government employees,he added. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">The government has also introduced a Rs 5 lakh medical reimbursement to the contractual employees and their dependents under the National Health Mission (NHM), Assam.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ASSAM TIMES POST Guwahati : The Assam Government will provide one-time Special Grants ranging from Rs 10000 to Rs one lakh as educational support of school and college going children of the employees of the non-operational Hindustan Paper Corporation mills at Jagiroad and Panchgram in the state, said Finance, Health, etc., Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
