The violent attack took place in front of the New Road restaurant, falling under the jurisdiction of the Patna City Chowk police station. The Station House Officer (SHO) of the precinct reported that Sharma sustained severe injuries. Bystanders quickly notified Sharma\u2019s family, who rushed him to a nearby private hospital. Despite medical efforts, Sharma succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"The police responded swiftly upon being alerted at 6:15 a.m. A team was deployed to the scene to initiate an investigation. Authorities have since gathered CCTV footage from the vicinity and registered an FIR; efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.<\/span><\/p>\n

The murder of Munna Sharma has sparked significant criticism from opposition leaders, notably from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). RJD spokesperson Mritunjay Tiwari criticized Bihar\u2019s “double engine” government, questioning why Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have remained silent on the increasing crime rates in Bihar. Tiwari lambasted the current government for failing to ensure the safety of even its own members.<\/span><\/p>\n

This tragic event has not only extinguished the life of an active political leader but also exposed the escalating law and order issues in Bihar, providing fresh fodder for opposition leaders to challenge the ruling alliance\u2019s capabilities in maintaining public safety.<\/span><\/p>\n
