T<\/span>he Border Security Force<\/a> (BSF) in Tripura has detained nine Bangladeshi nationals in various operations across the state, demonstrating intensified efforts against cross-border infiltration. Acting on specific intelligence, BSF troops at the Border Out Post Shyampara in the Sabroom subdivision of South Tripura apprehended four individuals\u2014three men and one woman\u2014all from Chattogram, Bangladesh, while they attempted to breach the border fencing.<\/span><\/h4>\n

In a separate incident, BSF personnel at the Border Out Post Anandpur in Sonamura, Sephaijala District, detained another Bangladeshi individual carrying both Bangladeshi currency (3,600 Taka) and Indian currency (Rs 3,000). This individual was identified as a resident of Dhaka District, Bangladesh.<\/span><\/p>\n

Further operations led to the arrest of two more Bangladeshi illegal immigrants in Dharmanagar, North District, and another attempt at the Sabroom border outpost in South Tripura. These individuals, in possession of Rs 5,540 in Indian currency, hailed from Dhaka and Cumilla Districts in Bangladesh.<\/span><\/p>\n

In a coordinated effort with sister agencies, BSF troops also detained two Bangladeshi nationals\u2014a man and a woman\u2014at the Agartala railway station, both from Mymensingh District, as they attempted to board a train.<\/span><\/p>\n

The operations underscore BSF\u2019s commitment to enhancing border security and anti-infiltration measures to safeguard Indian territory. Investigations into these incidents are ongoing. These developments have taken place amidst increased security measures in Tripura aimed at ensuring peace during upcoming Durga Puja celebrations.<\/span><\/p>\n
