A<\/span> vehicle was found to be carrying illegal substances in the vicinity of the Nagaon Sadar police station. Twenty days ago, the police recovered a car with the registration number AS 01 EX 2621 from Anand Nagar in Nagaon city. Hidden in a secret compartment of the vehicle was heroin<\/a> worth Rs.3 crore. The police confiscated the heroin after it was proven during a transport department inspection that the car had a secret compartment.<\/span><\/p>\n On December 6, the Nagaon police conducted an operation against drugs in Ananda Nagar, which is part of the Nagaon Sadar police station area. During the operation, the police arrested a drug dealer named Anjar Hussain. However, they were unable to seize any drugs during the operation.<\/span><\/p>\n After receiving a tip-off about the police operation, Anzar Hussein attempted to destroy the drugs in his possession by burning them in the bathroom. In contrast, the police seized a vehicle with the registration number AS 01 EX 26 21 from Anzar Hussein’s house.<\/span><\/p>\n On Friday, the Nagaon police took custody of another accused who was previously in judicial custody. Later, in the presence of a vehicle inspector, the police conducted a raid on the vehicle of the accused parked in the premises of the Sadar police station. During the operation, the police discovered 44 boxes of drugs hidden in a secret compartment under the back seat.
