I<\/span>n the budget, Finance Minister Ajanta Neog<\/a> made significant announcements regarding the Mukhyamantrir <\/span>Nijut Moina <\/span>scheme. In her budget speech, the finance minister stated, “This year, we plan to expand the scheme to benefit 4.3 lakh students. This expansion will aid not only students who pass their second year but also those who enroll in their first year. For this purpose, an allocation of 391 crore rupees has been made for the financial year 2025-26.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Assam’s Budget Initiatives for Education, Entrepreneurship, and Self-Reliance<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Additionally, through the Chief Minister’s Life Inspiration Program, the Assam government will provide a monthly stipend of 2,500 rupees for one year to graduates who complete their studies in 2025 from government universities and colleges. Furthermore, based on the recommendations of the district commissioner, a one-time financial assistance of 25,000 rupees will be offered instead of the monthly amount of 2,500 rupees. This initiative is announced by Ajanta Neog, stating that it is dedicated to the beloved nephews of the Chief Minister.<\/span><\/p>\n

The state and central governments have proposed a one-time grant of \u20b925,000 for university research students and \u20b950,000 for differently-abled research students in the budget. The Chief Minister’s Life Inspiration program is set to begin in October 2025, with a budget allocation of \u20b925 crore for this initiative.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, through the Chief Minister’s Women Entrepreneurship Initiative, 30 lakh self-help groups in rural areas and 2 lakh self-help groups in urban areas will be included. A loan of 25,000 rupees will be provided through banks for the proper utilization of this fund. Our government will spend 30,38 crore rupees for the Chief Minister’s Women Entrepreneurship Scheme.<\/p>\n

Through the Chief Minister’s Self-Reliant Assam initiative, more than 25,000 beneficiaries will receive 1 lakh rupees in the first phase this year, with an additional 75,000 new beneficiaries included in the second phase of the initiative, Self-Reliant Assam 2.0. Additionally, 1 lakh youth will receive financial assistance of 2 lakh rupees each. Those who have completed vocational degrees will be eligible for financial aid of 5 lakh rupees. For this, a budget of 773 crore rupees will be allocated this year.<\/span><\/p>\n
