Investing around Rs 15.85 crore, the newly revamped station boasts modern amenities for passengers, enhanced accessibility, and improved infrastructure to elevate the travel experience. Haibargaon is among 103 railway stations nationwide inaugurated in this phase of the ABSS, aimed at the long-term transformation of Indian Railways\u2019 infrastructure.<\/span><\/p>\n

This development is especially significant for Northeast India. Selecting Haibargaon as the state\u2019s inaugural station under the scheme highlights the government\u2019s intent to better integrate the region with the national transport network. The upgrade is anticipated to enhance connectivity, stimulate local development, and indicate the beginning of a larger infrastructural overhaul in the state.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Northeast Frontier Railway, which oversees the station, views this upgrade as a crucial step in fulfilling the government\u2019s promise to modernize rail services and promote regional growth. The other 49 stations in Assam designated for redevelopment under ABSS are expected to adopt a similar focus on improving passenger experiences.<\/span><\/p>\n
