The National Socialist Council of Nagalim<\/span><\/strong> <\/a>(NSCN) \u2013 Yung Aung faction has reported that Indian security forces ambushed and killed two of its Naga Army personnel on Thursday. This incident occurred near Langkhu village, within the Naga areas administered by Myanmar.<\/span><\/h4>\n

According to the NSCN (Yung Aung)\u2019s Ministry of Information and Publicity (MIP), the ambush took place at around 10 AM when a patrol unit of the Naga Army came under heavy fire. The two deceased soldiers have been identified as \u2018Sgt. Maj.\u2019 Nyaklung and \u2018L\/Cpl\u2019 Neyung Aung. The MIP described the ambush as a \u201cwell-coordinated assault.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite being outnumbered, the Naga Army unit engaged in a firefight that reportedly lasted about an hour. The MIP confirmed that the unit was able to recover the bodies of their fallen comrades.<\/span><\/p>\n

Both the NSCN\/Government of the People\u2019s Republic of Nagalim and the Naga Army expressed profound sorrow over their loss, recognizing the soldiers\u2019 \u201csupreme sacrifice for the cause of Naga sovereignty.\u201d They also extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased.<\/span><\/p>\n

In acknowledgment of their \u201cextraordinary bravery,\u201d the Naga Army\u2019s commander-in-chief has posthumously elevated both soldiers to the next higher rank.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
