Locally known as the Shri Shri Maha Mahi Joni Usha Khuti Puja, this annual celebration has been a cornerstone of the Uria community for generations. It aims to invoke divine blessings for the preservation of nature, the well-being of humanity, and the prosperity of homes and livestock.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the ceremony, devotees create symbolic representations of various deities at a sacred altar. The rituals unfold in the evening, culminating just before dawn when participants offer prayers to Agni Devata, the Fire God.
