The Special Investigation Team (SIT) investigating the death of singer Zubeen Garg has summoned actor Partha Hazarika<\/span><\/strong><\/a> for questioning as allegations linking him to the case continue to grow. Hazarika, who was reportedly close to both Zubeen and his wife Garima, is facing claims on social media that he allegedly blackmailed the deceased musician.<\/span><\/h4>\n

This new development in the investigation comes after Singapore authorities forwarded Zubeen Garg\u2019s post-mortem and toxicology reports to the Assam Police. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced on October 31 that this represents \u201csubstantial progress\u201d in the probe. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWhen our SIT visited Singapore, the authorities there assured full cooperation. Today, they have formally sent the post-mortem and toxicology reports, along with guidelines under the Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty (MLAT),\u201d Sarma stated to reporters.<\/span><\/p>\n

Zubeen Garg, aged 52, tragically died while swimming in the sea in Singapore on September 19. Following his death, the SIT, which consists of ten members, has arrested seven individuals who are currently in judicial custody. <\/span><\/p>\n

Sarma, who also holds the Home portfolio, expressed confidence in the direction of the investigation, stating, \u201cThe SIT is absolutely confident about ensuring justice for Zubeen.
