\nT<\/span><\/strong>wo civilians, injured in alleged firing by Army personnel in Arunachal Pradesh, have been admitted at the Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) here, hospital authorities said on Saturday.<\/span>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Both had sustained bullet injuries and are currently out of danger, they added.<\/span>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0They are reported to have been injured in a firing incident in Tirap district of the neighbouring state on Friday night and were evacuated to the AMCH by the Army.<\/span>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Official confirmation regarding the details of the incident from the Army was awaited as repeated attempts to reach them have failed.<\/span>\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\"civilians <\/span>AMCH superintendent Dr Prasanta Dihingia said one of the injured was hit by a bullet in the ulna of his hand, while the other\u2019s bullet injury was on the toe.<\/span>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u201cBoth are now out of danger,\u201d he added.<\/span>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0The injured have been identified as Nokphya Wangdan (28 years) and Ramwang Wangsu (23 years).<\/span>
\n\"Army\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span>A villager, accompanying the injured persons, claimed before mediapersons here that the duo was fired upon by Army personnel.<\/h2>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u201cBoth of them are orphans. Now, one\u2019s hand is injured and another\u2019s leg. Government will have to do something for them,\u201d he said.<\/span>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 He said the Army should be more careful in its operations and cited the instance of the botched ambush in Mon district of neighbouring Nagaland in December last year, which left 14 civilians dead.<\/span>
