In a major haul, the police busted an inter-state narcotics network by seizing\u00a0 800 kgs of cannabis (ganja) from a truck in Jorabat near here and arrested a person in this connection on Saturday, police said.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"800\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span>Acting on a tip-off, a team of Guwahati city police, headed by Joint Commissioner of Police Partha Sarathi Mahanta, conducted a raid in Jorabat area, bordering Meghalaya, and seized the contraband.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 The seized drug was estimated to be valued over Rs two crore and the truck was on its way to Tamil Nadu from Manipur.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0The arrested person\u00a0has been identified as one K Anbalagan and further investigations were on, the official added.<\/span><\/p>\n
