\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Morigaon Superintendent of Police Aparna Natarajan told mediapersons that the district police has so far registered 118 cases against drug traffickers, besides seizure of huge quantities of various drugs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 She said that the seized drugs related to the disposed cases\u00a0 were burnt today with the permission of the local Court.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0The drugs destroyed include\u00a03.3 kgs of heroin, 150 kgs of ganja, one thousand bottles of cough syrup and five thousand tablets.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0The value of the destroyed drugs was valued at over Rs 35 crore in the market.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0In another incident in Karbi Anglong district, two persons from a neighbouring state were arrested and one kg of heroin worth over Rs seven crore was seized from Lahorijan area bordering Nagaland, police said.\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 ”Another major achievement of\u00a0@assam police in its drive against drugs as\u00a0@karbianglongpol seizes 1 kg heroin at Lahorijan”,\u00a0Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said in a\u00a0tweet.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0”Two accused from a neighbouring state have been apprehended.
