Guwahati :<\/strong> The seven-day Winter session of Assam Legislative Assembly will begin from November 28 when oath of Affirmation will be taken by the newly elected Members of the House with Government Business.<\/span><\/p>\n

As per the calendar for the meetings of the session issued by the Principal Secretary of the Assembly, the first day of the session will have Government Business beginning with Oath of Affirmation by the newly elected Members. <\/span>This would be followed by the Question Hour, the Speaker announcing the Report of the Business Advisory Committee of ALA settling the Business for the Winter Session of the Assembly and the names of the Members constituting the Panel of Chairmen under Rule 9(1) of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in Assam Legislative Assembly.<\/span><\/p>\n

The other proceedings of the day include laying of Ordinances, Reports, Rules etc., Presentation of Reports of various Assembly Committees, Motion for election of Members to various Government Committees, Boards, etc., Presentation of the list of Supplementary Demand for Grants and Supplementary Appropriation for the year 2019-2020, Introduction of Government Bills, and Obituary References. <\/span>The second day on November 29 there will be Question Hour and Private Member\u2019s Business with Bills, Resolutions, Special Motion and Motions, as per the calander.<\/span><\/p>\n

The third day on November 30 will have Government Business starting with Question Hour, followed by Voting and passing of Supplementary Demand and Supplementary Appropriation for 2019-2020, followed by Introduction, consideration and passing of Assam Appropriation Bill, 2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

The next sitting will be held on December 3 with Question Hour, Member\u2019s Hour and Private Member\u2019s Business with Bills, Resolutions, Special Motion and Motions <\/span>On December 4 the Assembly will have Government Business with Question Hour followed by Consideration and Passing of Government Bills and any other Government Business remaining unfinished.<\/span><\/p>\n

On 5th December there will be Government Business with Speaker\u2019s Initiative.<\/span><\/p>\n

The last day of the Winter Session will be held on December 6 which will have Government Business with Discussion to Commemorate the 150 years of birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi followed by Adjournment-sine-die.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
