W<\/span>henever Bollywood succeeds at box office or a Hindi film becomes blockbuster<\/strong><\/span>, the small budget regional films<\/strong><\/span><\/a> get affected. They don\u2019t find space in theatres to exhibit. So is there any threat from Bollywood to regional films? \u2018Yes, but only to some extent. Regional film may start with small number of theatres due to Bollywood films, but once people start liking the film, the exhibitors are bound to increase the number of shows. <\/span><\/p>\n

I truly believe that content is always the king.\u2019 says Rajdweep<\/strong><\/span>, the screenwriter of upcoming Assamese film \u2018Dr Bezbaruah 2<\/strong><\/span><\/a>\u2019.The film has been ready for its release on coming 3rd February, 2023.<\/span>
\n\u2018Dr Bezbaruah 2\u2019 is the sequel of a cult Assamese film \u2018Dr Bezbaruah\u2019 got released way back in 1969 and it was the biggest hit of Assamese film industry. <\/span><\/p>\n

Now after 54 years, a sequel has been made and everyone is waiting eagerly for its release. The film has been directed by noted artist Nipon Goswami, whom we lost unfortunately two months ago. \u2018Dr Bezbaruah 2\u2019 has the massive star cast including Bollywood actor Adil Hussain, Zubeen Garg, Siddhartha Goswami, Kingkini Bhattacharya etc. The film has been produced by Dr Sanjive Narain and co-produced by Akshata Narain. Popular screenwriter, playwright Rajdweep has written this much awaited film.<\/span><\/p>\n

While Shah Rukh Khan Starrer Hindi film Pathaan is doing great in the box office now, people has been anticipating some challenges that will be faced by other films including \u2018Dr Bezbaruah 2\u2019. But Rajdweep says, \u2018As the writer of \u2018Dr Bezbaruah 2\u2019, I can assure that people would love the film and we will rock at the box office.\u2019 He also mentions, \u2018Dr Bezbaruah 2 is truly a well-made film. Every aspect of this film has been taken care of properly.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2018The success of SRK\u2019s Pathaan is undoubtedly appreciated, but I don\u2019t see it as a threat to our film. We have worked passionately and have made an outstanding film. I may sound biased but \u2018Dr Bezbaruah 2\u2019 is going to create history and it will create new paths for many Assamese film in coming days\u2019, Rajdweep says.<\/span>
\nTalking about his experience about the film, Rajdweep says, \u2018Writing the sequel of a cult movie like \u2018Dr Bezbaruah\u2019 has been one of the biggest challenges of my writing career, I guess. <\/span><\/p>\n

I was excited and nervous as well when legendary actor Nipon Goswami approached me with the idea of making a sequel.\u2019 Also talking about the experience of working with Adil Hussain, the young writer says, \u2018It’s my first film with great artist like Adil Hussain and was nervous while sending the script to him. But later, Adil da called me and told that he liked the script.
