Diphu: The troops under the aegis of Red Horns Division as a part of Civic action organised a GAON BURAH MEET (JUG A JUG) at Barlangfer in East Karbi Anglong to reach out to the local population in order to develop trust home well as to assess the sit.
The event focused at interacting with the Gaon Burahs and discussing issues related to security and insurgency activities. A total of 52 Gaon Burahs and 3 sarkari Gaon Burah attended the meet. Army also catered Light Refreshment for the individuals after the culmination of the event.
The event received an overwhelming response from Gaon Burahs of various villages as well as the local population. The village representatives duly understood the cause for which Armed forces has been working tirelessly and appreciated the work being done. They also promised to coop with all necessary assets towards achieving this aim.
