Several of the 49 pilgrims traveling from Pathsala to India suddenly fell ill, and one pilgrim has passed away. As a result, these pilgrims are facing a major crisis. It is reported that the pilgrimage group, which started from Pathsala, is currently stranded at the Bharat Seva Ashram near Dakra railway station.

Among them, 12 pilgrims have fallen ill, and one has already died. The deceased pilgrim’s name is Uddhav Das, and he was from Chaibari in Manikpur, Bajali. Meanwhile, the ailing pilgrims have been deprived of medical care and have not received any treatment so far. It is known that these pilgrims traveled by train from Rangiya to Dakra on September 23rd. However, as soon as this news was broadcast on Pratidin Time, Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah took immediate action.
He contacted the pilgrims to assess the situation and simultaneously held a telephonic conversation with the Home Minister of Gujarat to request arrangements for their medical care, safety, and security. It is reported that the Gujarat government has already stepped forward to assist the group of pilgrims.
