The search for a missing man from Assam tragically concluded on Tuesday when the body of Dugdha Hazarika was found deep in a forest in Churachandpur district, Manipur, over two weeks after he disappeared. Hazarika, 37, was a laborer with Bharat Infra Private Limited, a company involved in the construction of National Highway 102. His remains were located in a densely wooded area between Suahzahau and Zabellei villages, approximately 17 kilometers from the Singngat police station.

Local villagers were the first to discover the body and promptly informed the authorities, leading to a coordinated search effort involving both police and community members. Once recovered, the body was taken to the morgue at Churachandpur District Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
The police have initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding Hazarika’s death, which remain unclear at this point. As the investigation unfolds, further details may emerge regarding this tragic incident.
