A fire erupted on Saturday morning at the fifth floor of **Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital**, a government hospital in northeast Delhi’s **Shastri Park** area . The fire department was alerted at 12.16 am and sent eight fire engines to the scene . The fire damaged the furniture, AC, and false ceiling in the meeting room on the fifth floor, but no patients or staff were harmed .
The fire was extinguished within an hour . A fireman named Sumit sustained a minor hand injury during the operation and received first aid at the hospital . Another fire incident occurred at a printing press shop in **Lodhi Colony** area around 7.40 am, which was brought under control by 10 am with the help of eight fire engines .
