The police in Assam’s Hojai district have reported a tragic incident involving the rape and murder of a minor girl allegedly by a close relative. The victim’s body was discovered in her own home on Saturday evening.
According to the family, the girl was alone in the house when the relative assaulted and killed her. The police officer stated that the body has been sent to Nagaon Civil Hospital for a post-mortem examination and an investigation has been initiated. The authorities are actively searching for the suspect.
