Guwahati : The Nalbari district committee Krisak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) today staged two hours sit in demonstration before the Sudhakantha Dr Bhupen Hazarika Sishu Udyan in protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act.
They also demanded to release KMSS leader Akhil Gogoi and other arrestted leaders unconditionally.The protesters raised slogans against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act and the BJP Governments at state and centre.
A protest meeting was also held where Brajen Talukdar,adviser of Nalbari district unit of AJYCP,Bhupen Talukdar,leader of Anchalikotabad Suraksha Mancha,Aminul Islam,district secretary of AMSU,Makibar Rahman,teacher spoke against the illegal Act and demanded to repeal immediately. Activists of Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti staged two hour sit in demonstration against the Citizenship (Amendment )Act at Nalbari town on Monday.
