Guwahati : Activists of Nalbari district unit of AASU and the Silpi Samaj today blew Ranasinga at a function held at the premises of Nalbari Swahid Bhawan to awake up the Government which they said in the deep sleep despite on going mass movement in the state.
The protesters with Nagara,Dhol,Bhor tal,Sankha,Bar kah gathered at the Swahid Bhawan premises and blew Ranasinga for the good will of the Government to scrap the Citizenship (Amendment) Act.A protest meeting was also held at the protest site which was conducted by Akshay Deka,general secretary of Nalbari district unit of AASU .
The meeting was addressed among others by Dr Leena Deka,Phanidhar Deka,Dr Bipin Kalita,Dhrubjyoti Sarma,Himan Barman,Bhabajit Bezbaruah,Nirod Das,Mithu Ahmed,Haidar Ali.They strongly opposed the illegal Act and requested the Government to show respect the democratic and peaceful movement of the people in the state.
