The regular checkpoint by the Dokmoka police has created a stir in the area due to the seizure of a large quantity of illegal foreign liquor from Meghalaya. According to reports, during a routine check in the Karbi Anglong district, the Dokmoka police intercepted a 16-wheeler truck with the registration number NL 07 AA 239, which was heading from Meghalaya towards Imphal. They were able to recover a total of 75 cartons of foreign liquor that had been illegally hidden among bags of fertilizer.
In connection with the incident, the truck driver Bikram Roy and his companion, a young man named Michal, have already been arrested by the Dokmoka police. Under the leadership of Officer Rituplal Hensua, the Dokmoka police were able to seize the contraband during a routine checkpoint inspection.
