Protests Erupt in Diphu Over Porn Videos of MLA Bidya Sing Englang On Monday, the political atmosphere in Diphu became charged as a controversial explicit video featuring BJP MLA Bidya Sing Englang went viral.
In response, the women’s Congress of Karbi Anglong demanded his resignation, arguing that anyone engaged in such immoral activities is unfit for a legislative role. Today, the women’s Congress organized a protest in Diphu, amplifying their calls against Englang and the BJP.
The video’s release has sparked widespread criticism, with APHSL President J.I. Kathar highlighting during a press conference that such content tarnishes the reputation of the people of Karbi Anglong and Assam. Kathar revealed that numerous young people have lodged complaints against the individuals involved in producing the video.
He insisted that MLA Englang should face an investigation under sections 68 and 69 of the Indian Penal Code. Furthermore, he urged the Governor of Assam, the Chief Minister, and the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly to take decisive action and demand the MLA’s removal from office.
