Diphu : Indian army under the aegis of Red Horns Division organised a health awareness lecture on the spread and prevention of COVID19 at St John’s English School, Phunglokpet, Bakulia on 16 Mar 2020.
The aim of this lecture was to make the students, teachers and parents aware of the virus including efforts being taken to tackle the epidemic. This included introduction on the virus (COVID-19) , methods of virus transmission, its symptoms, age groups most vulnerable to infection, preventive measures that are recommended to be taken to prevent the spread of infection, as well as National and State epidemiological situation.
The lecture was appreciated by everyone present as it helped them in understanding the deadly virus that has been on the limelight of both national and international media over the past few weeks.
