Diphu: In the continuing relief process extended by Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council Executive Member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council Lunsing Teron distributed essential provisions at Men Taro village, Borsing Teron village and Kethe Rongpi village.
He was assisted by around 17 government employees to arrange the food grains and vegetables; 8 kg rice, pulse, edible oil, potato, soap and others essentials to 100 families of three villages yesterday.Saying goes ‘misfortune rarely comes single’ adding owes to the locked up villagers on Sunday afternoon, house of one Phukon Rongpi was charred by a fortuitous blaze around 11.30 am.
The located in Alu Khunda Bon Kathar village in the cross border of Karbi Anglong and Golaghat district.Household belongings along with a cash amount of Ten thousand rupees, clothes, utensils have been gutted by the fire. The aged couple is now left with nothing except their night dress.
