Alliance Air Aviation Limited was set to introduce flight services from Dibrugarh to five towns in Arunachal Pradesh, according to an airport official.
The airline plans to introduce flights between Pasighat, Tezu, Ziro, Mechuka and Tuting in Arunachal Pradesh. Alliance Air’s Dibrugarh Station Manager Narsing Rao Meesala said on Monday.
An inaugural flight has been planned by Alliance Air in the sector Dibrugarh–Lilabari–Pasighat– Guwahati on April 12 with Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on board the inaugural Dornier 228 flight (DO228).
In the first phase, services will be started between Dibrugarh-Pasighat, Dibrugarh-Tezu and Dibrugarh-Ziro, Meesala said.
Services between Dibrugarh-Tuting, Dibrugarh- Mechuka will start soon depending on the availability of aircrafts, he said.
The Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has signed an agreement with Alliance Air to lease out two ‘made in India’ Dornier DO-228, a 17 seater aircraft, for operation in Arunachal Pradesh under the central government’s UDAAN scheme.
