On Tuesday night, a tragic road accident occurred in Baithalangso of the West Karbi Anglong district, which resulted in the death of a promising young doctor, leaving the hilly district of Karbi Anglong in a state of shock. According to the details of the incident, the emerging doctor from Dongkamokam, Dr. Clif Pator, along with his two associates, Dr. Mukrang Terang and Edward Bear of the fourth grade, were traveling from Umpenai towards Dongkamokam in their personal Swift vehicle.
The doctor’s car was en route through the remote mountainous region when, around 11:30 at night, it met with an accident at a place called Long-e-Lubui, subsequently plummeting about 100 meters down from the mountain. This horrific accident resulted in the on-site death of the doctor, while his colleague Dr. Mukrang Terang and an assistant named Edward Bai sustained serious injuries and are currently receiving medical treatment.
It is important to note that Dr. Cliff Patar, who passed away prematurely, was serving as the acting physician at Baithalangso’s primary health center. Following the sudden demise of Dr. Patar, the medical staff and employees of the health center are overwhelmed with grief. Notably, after Dr. Cliff Patar’s body arrived at his home in Dongkamokam in the afternoon, his relatives, acquaintances, and admirers came to pay their final respects.
