In a related development, the Centre for Organisation Research and Education (CORE) has appealed to the United Nations Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances regarding the suspicious disappearance of Laishram Kamalbabu from an army camp. CORE demands an impartial investigation, stressing accountability and transparency, and seeks international attention for justice.
Adding to the stateâs tensions, the Manipur government has extended its ban on mobile internet in nine conflict-affected districts until December 9 due to security concerns.
