
Assam’s Special Task Force (STF) made a significant breakthrough in the fight against drug trafficking with a successful operation in the early hours of July 14. Acting on precise intelligence inputs, the STF launched a meticulous search operation in Rajapukhuri, under the jurisdiction of the Uriamghat Police Station in Golaghat District.

The operation, led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Satendra Singh Hazari, culminated in a substantial drug haul: 141 soap boxes containing heroin, weighing a total of 1.732 kilograms, were uncovered. This marks a critical interception in Assam’s ongoing efforts to curb drug smuggling in the region.
The STF also apprehended two suspects linked to this operation. While their identities have not been disclosed, their arrest signifies a notable achievement in disrupting the local drug supply chain.
This successful raid underscores the commitment and effectiveness of Assam’s law enforcement agencies in combating the menace of drug trafficking, reflecting the state’s proactive stance in tackling organized crime.
