Diphu : A hardcore Peoples Democratic Council of Karbi Longri (PDCK) militant was apprehended today in Assam’s Karbi Anglong district, said the police. A release from the Superintendent of Police of Karbi Anglong here said that based on specific input regarding presence of the hardcore PDCK cadre in Chomplar village under Dokmoka PS , an operation was launched today around 5.30 am by a team from Karbi Anglong Police.
In the operation the police team succeeded in apprehending the PDCK cadre identified as Rustom Ronghang @Birloy Bey who was of 18 years old, S/O Sri Ram Ronghang, village Bikhoi Ben Gaon Bhelughat under the Dokmoka PS . Police also an abandoned camp of PDCK. During the search operation police were recovered one AK- 47, one Magazine, ammunition 66 ,PDCK cadre appointment certificate and AK magazine pouch 1. The armed cadres of the PDCK, formed in October 2016 . The entire operation took place under the supervision of the Superintendent of Police of Karbi Anglong Debojit Deori which is a success.
