In a significant operation on Wednesday, Indian security forces, in collaboration with Manipur Police, Assam Rifles, and CRPF, successfully uncovered a hideout and seized a substantial cache of arms and ammunition in the regions adjoining Imphal West and Kangpokpi district. This operation, as reported by the police, was initiated following intelligence about suspected miscreants operating in the area of Khelakhong Mamang Leikai, situated between the two districts.

The joint forces executed a well-coordinated search operation, using an explosive detection dog to meticulously comb through the area. This led to the discovery of various firearms and explosive devices, including a self-loading rifle, a modified .303 rifle, three hand grenades, a 9 mm pistol, a tube launcher, and assorted ammunition of different calibers.
The recovered arsenal has been handed over to the respective police station for further investigation and processing. This operation underscores the continued efforts of the Indian security forces to maintain peace and security in the region, highlighting the ongoing vigilance required in combating illegal arms activities.
