In a bold and decisive operation, law enforcement agencies have made a significant breakthrough in the fight against illegal narcotics. Acting on a vital tip-off, police forces conducted a successful raid in the Balijan Khan area of Khatkhati, leading to the apprehension of a female drug supplier and the seizure of a staggering 11,080 grams of suspected heroin. This high-stakes intervention took place on Monday at approximately 4:30 PM, marking a crucial moment in the ongoing battle against drug trafficking in the region.

The operation, meticulously orchestrated by Officer-in-Charge Nitul Saikia of Khatkhati, was executed with precision and efficiency. Saikia was supported by Sub-Inspector Biman Chetiya and Assistant Sub-Inspector Shantana Baruah from the Karagaon Police Outpost. This strategic collaboration underscores the commitment of law enforcement agencies to tackle the formidable challenge posed by drug trafficking networks.
The suspect, identified as Reshmina Begum from Dimapur New Colony, was intercepted while traveling in an auto-rickshaw bearing the registration number NL 07 FA 0911. The seizure of such a substantial quantity of heroin not only highlights the scale of the operation but also raises concerns about the extent of drug trafficking activities in the region.
