Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed his sorrow over the incident. âThe collapse of a wall during the Chandanotsavam of Sri Varaha Lakshminarasimha Swamy, resulting in the deaths of eight devotees, has deeply shaken me,â he stated on social media. âI convey my heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives due to this unfortunate event, caused by the wall collapsing under heavy rains. I have been in contact with the District Collector and Superintendent of Police to monitor the situation closely. I have instructed that immediate medical treatment be provided to the injured, and I am consistently reviewing developments as they unfold.â
