Diphu: In continuation with endeavor of Red Horn Division towards providing humanitarian assistant to the under privileged populace in rural area, a medical and health checkup camp was organized by the army troops deployed in East Karbi Anglong at Home for Destitute and Vagrant children School & Hostel situated at Dillaji of Diphu on Thursday.
The camp was primarily organized for the children of the orphanage at Dillaji, during which children were provided with free health checkup and consultation besides free medicines.
They were also educated regarding safe drinking water practices, hygiene and sanitation, preventive measures for communicable diseases like dengue and malaria besides informing them about precautions to be taken against the common diseases. A total of 45 children and 7 school staff participated in the event.
Before the culmination of the event, light refreshments were also served amongst all present.
