In an impressive demonstration of vigilance and efficiency, the Karbi Anglong Police in Borpathar, Bokajan executed a major anti-drug operation, seizing a large quantity of heroin. The operation took place at Khakrajan Naka Point, where 548 grams of heroin were discovered cleverly hidden in 40 soap boxes. This decisive action highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to combat drug trafficking in the area.

The operation was carefully planned and executed by the Borpathar police, who acted on reliable intelligence by setting up a checkpoint at Khakrajan Naka Point. The main goal was to intercept and arrest those involved in the transport and distribution of illegal narcotics. During the operation, police stopped a suspicious vehicle and, upon a thorough search, found heroin hidden in soap boxes. This clever method of concealment shows the lengths to which drug traffickers will go to evade detection. However, the police’s alertness and expertise ensured the contraband did not reach the streets.
The operation went beyond just seizing drugs; the police also arrested two individuals believed to be key figures in the drug supply chain. These suspects, from Tinsukia, are currently in custody and being interrogated to uncover more details about their network and activities. Their arrest marks a significant breakthrough in the ongoing fight against drug trafficking in the region.The seized drugs are estimated to have a market value of Rs 3 crore.
