A Battalion of Indian Army conducted awareness lecture on COVID 19 at Borijuli village of Sonitpur District. Face masks were distributed as part of the campaign.The initiative received great participation & appreciation from the audience while following the social distancing norms.
A strength of 60 people attended the said lecture.The aspects of Spread of Infection , Dos and Don’ts , Personal Hygiene , Methods of Sanitizing the Environment , importance of wearing masks and maintaining social distance were covered.
Masks were distributed to the needy and event ended with open discussion with the locals. Army expressed its commitment to sensitize the envt amid the lockdown to avoid misinfo & rumours spreading via social media. ARMY takes pride in taking the national mission of combating COVID-19 to the last man in society and will strive for even more with such initiatives.
