Diphu : World Malaria Day was observed in the middle of lockdown at an isolated village in Karbi Anglong district on yesterday. An responsiveness conference was also organized to mark the the day in the presence of District Vector Borne Disease Consultant, NVBDCP, Karbi Anglong, Obed Killing, Malaria Inspector, Bhokto Bannerjee and Surveillance Inspector, Jiten Kro at Kania Enghi village, Manja around 20 kilometers from Diphu.
The Malaria department carried out actions like Dichloro Diphenyl Trichloroethane (DDT) spraying, Insecticide Treated Bed Nets distribution, collection of blood samples in slides were embarked on , motivational lectures were also spread through All India Radio and Fixed Loud Speaker system in the district to mark the instance. It was also observed in the all block Primary Health Center of the district in identical manner.
