ASSAM TIMES POST Diphu: The unit of Red Horns division of Indian Army deployed in East Karbi Anglong inaugurated a rehabilitation training of surrendered cadres of United Kukigram Democratic Association (UKDA) at Diphu in collaboration with Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI). Total 20 Persons participated in the Training.
In order to provide opportunity to these surrendered cadres to enable themselves in self-employment this training is being conducted.
As part of initial planning, an interaction session was organized at Harihajan which was attended by interested cadres of UKDA wherein the cadres were acquainted with details of various courses which are conducted.
During this training the participants will be trained on administration and management of Fast Food Stalls. Subsequently, in the next batch Training on Pig Farming and Poultry will be given.
Post completion of Training the cadres will be provided financial assistance from National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) to support them in commencing their projects.
The initiative was well appreciated by the local’s especially surrendered cadres who were hopeful that such kind of endeavor will encourage other cadres to join mainstream and shun path of violence.
