Guwahati : Fit India Movement, a nationwide movement that was launched by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi recently,the Bongaigaon district administration in Assam has launched a new initiative called “WALK to WORK on WEDNESDAYS”.
As per the circular issued by the District Administration, all Officers /Officials / Staffs of all Government Offices/ Departments will walk at least two kms to and fro to their respective offices on every Wednesday starting from first Wednesday of the month of November.
Bongaigaon, district Deputy Commissioner Adil Khan launching thie initiative said, “WALK to WORK on WEDNESDAYS is a multi-dimensional approach to ensure a healthy workforce, to adapt towards clean and green way of commutation to workplace and to inspire others towards a healthy lifestyle”.
