Two individuals, including a suspected heroine, have been apprehended by security personnel near the Assam-Nagaland border. The Maruti Suzuki vehicle they were using has been seized in connection with a significant amount of suspicious heroin worth Rs.1 Crore (approx) .

The security personnel at the Assam-Nagaland border have uncovered heroin hidden in the vehicle and are conducting a thorough search of the concealed chamber. During the investigation, the security personnel have arrested two Manipuri individuals associated with the apprehended heroin. According to reports, the apprehension took place around 4:46 PM near the Manipur-Anglong border, where a Maruti van with the registration number MN 06 AL 1848 was intercepted.
Inside a hidden chamber in the vehicle, 22 soap packets containing approximately 269.43 grams of heroin were found. The arrested individuals are identified as Mohammad Chahib, son of Mohammad Abdul Hamid from Thoubal district, Manipur, and Merimiyyam Ayazuddin, son of Merimiyyam Arichak from the same district. The apprehended heroin is being held as evidence, and further investigation is underway according to the NDPS Act.
