Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged his cabinet members to hold off on making trips to the Ram temple in Ayodhya for the time being, at least until the end of March. During a recent Cabinet meeting, he recommended that his ministers postpone any visits to the Ayodhya Ram Temple, according to a report by ANI that referenced insider information.
To avoid causing disruptions for the general populace, the Prime Minister recommended that Union ministers schedule their trips to Ayodhya in March due to the significant number of people attending and the potential inconvenience stemming from VIP visits with security details.
Approximately 500,000 worshipers thronged the temple when it opened its doors to the public on Tuesday, leading to such a dense crowd that officials had to momentarily redirect buses away from Ayodhya to prevent disorder. Despite the cold weather, about 300,000 pilgrims queued outside the temple on Wednesday, with strict security measures in place.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh has requested that VIPs notify officials ahead of time before their visits to Ayodhya, as the city experiences a significant influx of pilgrims. During a meeting in Lucknow with authorities to discuss crowd control measures, Adityanath recommended that VIPs intending to visit the temple should communicate their plans to the state government or the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust at least one week prior to their expected arrival.
Numerous worshippers from various regions are converging on Ayodhya Dham, all keen to see their esteemed god Lord Shri Ram. With such a remarkable surge of visitors, including VIPs and other prominent figures, the chief minister suggests that these individuals should notify either the local authorities, the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, or the Uttar Pradesh Government at least one week prior to planning their trip, according to the statement.
