
In the early hours of Tuesday, a horrific crime scene unfolded in Takaubari, Bokoliaghat , a location straddling the border of Hojai and Karbi Anglong districts. The community has been left in a state of shock and fear following the discovery of the mutilated bodies of two local fishermen. The victims, identified as Nil Bordoloi and Bibhishan Bordoloi, also known as Langfu, were found by the roadside in Takaubari.

The incident has sent ripples through the quiet community, with residents grappling to come to terms with the gruesome nature of the crime. According to initial reports, both victims had ventured out the previous night to catch eel fish in a pond near the district border. Tragically, they never returned.
The grim discovery was made by a family member of one of the victims. âThis morning, my nephew found the bodies and immediately informed the police,â a relative shared, visibly shaken by the ordeal. The prompt alert to law enforcement has set the wheels of investigation in motion, as authorities rushed to the scene to begin piecing together the events that led to this tragic end.
