Karbi Anglong: The Red Horns Division of Indian Army organized a tree plantation drive on Monday at Little Flower School, Manja of East Karbi Anglong to create awareness about global warming and role of trees in protecting the already depleting Ozone layer. The event commenced with the plantation of 200 saplings by the students, teachers and soldiers. A total of 102 students and 11 teachers including Principal participated in the drive enthusiastically. Prior to commencement of drive, an awareness cum motivation talk was also delivered for the students of class X-XII with regards to the modus operandi behind launching such plantation drive. The students took pledge that they each will plant a sapling in their village and create awareness about importance of trees in human lives.
