Three persons have been killed and 14 others have been seriously injured when a vehicle carrying pilgrims collided on NH-37 in Assam’s Morigaon district on Monday, police said.

The traveller, carrying 17 pilgrims, was returning to Guwahati from Parsuram Kunda in Arunachal Pradesh after taking a holy dip in the Lohit river on the occasion of Makar Sankranti on Sunday.
The vehicle collided head-on with a truck at Dharamtul on NH-37, killing three persons on the spot and seriously injuring 14 others.
One of the deceased have been identified as Bhupal Adhikary while the identity of the others are yet to be ascertained.
The injured have been admitted to Morigaon Civil Hospital and the condition of all are stated to be critical.
